Wow! it's been such a long time since I wrote on here and so much has happened!  I no longer make candles since they just tend to melt at farmers market and then look really rough.  But I have added new products, such as bug spray and sunblock!  I also make shower gel, shampoo and conditioner (these 3 are from a base, but still work great and are from a great company).
In 2016, we received three beautiful children into our home.  We ended up taking time off from farmers market for a couple years to spend time with them.  It was a challenge!  Grandma has been a wonderful help for us over and over! Anyway, last year we finally were able to adopt those children!  We are back in the swing of getting my business going. i still work full time as a medical lab tech, but I like to stay busy so even when I am home I am busy!
Another thing we sell are duck eggs!  We sell out every week!

So I was thinking about adjusting the shipping rates, but the minimum cost for sending a package is about $6.  So, my friends, think about getting more because you will actually save on shipping.  When I have more orders coming in, I'll have a better idea on the best way to save my customers money.  One of my favorite sites to get supplies from has free shipping if you order $40 and up, so that is one thing I am considering.  Also I may be able to strike a deal with FedEx or UPS, but I need to have orders.
We do have a new product--bath fizzies!  We have many different recipes but the basics are baking soda and citric acid.  W

Sorry I haven't posted in a while!  I have been busy though!  My biggest seller of the cold process soap is the goat milk soap with oatmeal and lavender fragrance blend.  I made more today so I am sure to have enough for all the craft fairs we have coming up.  I will try to get the site updated and post new stuff in the next few months.  Thanks for visiting!

Welcome to August in Missouri (or "misery" as some would say)!  It's very hot here but we're keeping cool indoors.
I have updated my inventory and added a few new items.  I don't have pics or descriptions on the new items, but if you've seen us at the farmers market or my soaps at the Country Feed store, you know what they are.
Have a great week!

Hello again!  Sorry I forgot to post last weekend but I'm here now!  I made another batch of the goat milk soap with oatmeal and lavender blend fragrance.  It'll be available the end of August.
I made homemade goat milk chocolate ice cream last night while the boys were at the fair.  It was so delicious, I almost ate the whole thing!  In a couple months we'll be breeding our goats, so I'll enjoy the goats milk while I can.  We will just have to start freezing it.
Have a great week!

Hey y'all! I have been so busy since going back to work full-time! My husband and I are also foster parents which takes time as well (and is a struggle). But I promise I am still around and trying to get this business really going!
I have a new idea for packaging my cold process soaps.  It would look more professional to put them in  clear organza bags with laminated labels (instead of cigar bands which get gross easily).  I have already put the cupcake soaps in organza bags which looks really cute.
By the way, I have some soaps in the Country Feed store between Rolla and St James.  Be sure to check it out if you can't wait until farmers market!
I will be selling soap at the "Benefit for Paws" in Cuba (at the Recklin Center) on July 18th from noon to 5.  Come see me!
I will try to make a habit of posting on this blog every weekend.
God bless! Have a great week everyone!!

I had a week off since I am changing jobs--so, I made 6 batches of cold process soap!  Three of those are with goats milk--one unscented, one with lots of color fragranced with cotton candy and another I added oatmeal and and lavender blend fragrance.
I also made some MP soap to which I added  natural luffa!  The MP block I am using now is Detergent Free Baby Buttermilk which is excellent for the skin.
